Marathon Fundraising Updates
In November this year, IAB COO Sarah Palmar and Head of Communications Tom Saltmarsh successfully completed the 2023 New York Marathon on November 5th, raising an impressive £985. The funds will be distributed equally between the Bhuvkarma Foundation in India and the Skyte Trust in the UK and contribute to providing financial education to children and increasing access to education.
The Skyte Trust, based in the UK, focuses on promoting, sustaining, and increasing access to education, knowledge, and skills. The raised funds will specifically help buy laptops to support individuals on their educational journey.
The Bhuvkarma Foundation partership, initiated in November 2022 in southern India, continues its focus on a Sustainable Education program. The IAB’s role in this initiative is to provide finantial education to children, equipping them with skills for personal and professional development.
